Our HANDS ON AND INTERACTIVE homesteading class provides essential information, demonstration, instruction and practical application designed for the family or individual that wants to begin a homestead. This intensive one day class encompasses hands-on workshops with lectures and seminars that cover the following topics:
Note: Since our classes are specifically designed for adults, an individual must be 18 years old to enroll on his own. Children age 17 who are well-behaved and respectful of adults may register if a parent enrolls with them in the same workshop.
- self-sufficiency and self-reliance
- small scale organic gardening
- composting
- livestock
- beekeeping
- medicinal and culinary herbs
- fencing, barns, sheds and animal housing
- collecting water
- solar
- economy of homesteading (trade and bartering efficiently)
- off-grid
- preservation techniques

This homestead class is designed for the beginner to the experienced. It is 8 hours in duration with an hour lunch break. You will need to bring a lunch. Refreshments will be available during the entirety of the class. Handbook included with fee.
